[PICTORIAL] Rhodes to Athens - the rough and calm stuff

It all started from cloudy and a bit rainy Rhodes:

Quickly found a pleasant southern wind and headed north for easier ride in case of (common in the Aegean) northern winds. After short heavy rains a magnificent rainbow appeared:

Some ...island-UFOs appeared as optical illusions (the small ones in the middle):

And some magnificent sceneries...

The coast of Turkey:

And the younger skipper with another rainbow as a background:

The older and more experienced skipper insisted on passing just by the turkish lighthouse although we didn't have a turkish flag onboard...

And another scenery between Tilos and Nisyros, before approaching Kos:

Next morning we left Kos behind,

Passed by Pserimos,

Kalymnos,

And reached Levitha with salt on my face indicating what we'd been through...

But sceneries like those was our reward (along with a DELICIOUS dinner in the only house on Levitha):

Following morning we set sail on 6am:

Even some lovely friends joined on our way to... Syros or Kythnos would it be?

Astonishing Ermoupolis @Syros was the obvious choice!!!

Departed on 5am in order to get safe home before the W F7 got our ride rougher...

The sea was dead-calm, so reaching cape Tamelos of Kea was easy...

Saint George in view meant Kalamaki - Athens was nearby :-(

Even cape Sounion indicated so...

A pleasant F3 helped us to complete our 270NM ride with a HUGE smile on our faces...
